World-renowned Neurosurgeon Mark Liker, MD, FAANS, FACS, is the founder and CEO of BrainStim Centers, Inc., with clinics in Encino and Valencia, California.
Dr. Liker expects the highest standard of care and equipment not only in his private practice but in his TMS and MeRT Clinics as well.

Dr. Mooney obtained her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. She then earned her medical degree as well as her Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology from George Washington University School of Medicine, completing her residency training in Neurological Surgery at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. in 2005.
Previously in private practice in suburban Maryland, Dr. Mooney has dedicated herself to academic research. Over the course of her career, she has led several neuroscience research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health and authored numerous peer-reviewed articles.
Now, Dr. Mooney has brought her years of expertise to BrainStim Centers as our Director of Research.
With offices in Valencia and Calabasas, California, our team of TMS/MeRT experts uses the Nexstim SmartFocus TMS system and Magventure MeRT technology. These systems offer advanced features such as 3D brain imaging and deliver the same precise brain navigation used by neurosurgeons while planning brain surgery.
Our team applies this technology to identify and treat underactive brain areas with no need for surgery. This non-surgical and innovative approach can offer relief to those experiencing mental health disorders and is proving to have far-reaching benefits. The procedure is gentle and targeted.
